Takshila serves through its liberal knowledge platforms that have grown over 25 years of dedicated work in education, social development, children’s literature, publishing and the arts.
Parivartan is Takshila’s Grassroots Movement setup in the Siwan District of Bihar. We work with a community spread across 21 villages to create meaningful interventions and provide opportunities for growth that enables their individual and collective freedom.

Ektara is Takshila’s World of Imagination. Through intensive dialogue and study, we understand what constitutes quality literature for children. We work with writers, illustrators, and graphic artists to publish exquisite books, magazines and other reads for children across all ages and locale.
Ektara publishes under the imprints Jugnoo Prakashan, Mynah & Cheenti, awards annual fellowships to authors and illustrators, and runs Riyaaz Academy for Illustrators in collaboration with Tata Trust.
Arthshila is Takshila’s Collective for the Arts. Born of the vision to provide an inclusive and immersive platform for creating and sharing ideas centred around arts, Arthshila is the coming together of creative and curious minds who believe in the integral role art has to play in society. We facilitate exchange of nuanced thoughts amongst artists and audience.
Arthshila supports and operates multi-arts centres in Ahmedabad, Santiniketan, Patna and New Delhi, a residency art studio in ruralBihar, and also publishes literature on arts.
Takshila Art Collection is a diverse and expanding body of artworks from the contemporary and indigenous folk art traditions of India. Bringing together the works of acknowledged masters and gifted artists of impact, the collection is intended for public viewing at Arthshila Patna, Santiniketan, Ahmedabad and New Delhi. At present, the Collection is endowed with over 2000 works of art, comprising of painting, sketches, graphic art, photograph, ceramics, sculptures, and installations.
